Hi! I'm Ceylan and I'm a paediatric speech and language therapist and a mother of two girls.

I started Play On Words to be able to offer families bespoke, accessible and timely access to speech and language therapy.

​

Qualifications:

• Psychology Bsc (Hons)
• Speech and language Therapy PGDip

Experience:

• Multiple NHS boroughs
• Private Practice
• Teletherapy
• Various client groups, with a special interest in early years 
• Various ages, from nursery to college age students

 At POW we provide effective, bespoke speech and language therapy that fits the individual needs of your child.

We aim to provide early intervention to ensure your child has the best opportunity to develop their communication skills.

We set goals which are functional and achievable, working together with you and other key people in your child's life.

​

At POW we don't "fix" children. We view all children as equal and able, regardless of their differences. Children don't need to be "treated" to fit a typical way of talking or behaving. Instead we focus on embracing differences and supporting you and your child to gain new skills to nurture their communication.

Therapy is a process and this may be slower for some than others. Commitment and perseverance is crucial when deciding to start speech and language therapy.

​1. I help your child to develop their communication skills to the best of their ability.

2.I assess what your child finds difficult and help those areas of communication. This may be: attention and listening, social skills, language skills, speech skills or preverbal skills.

​3.I provide parents with tools and strategies they can use in their daily lives to help their child to communicate more effectively.

​4.I share ideas on supporting early communication development (from birth) for all children through Instagram and Facebook (@pow.speechtherapy). Communication is a skill that ALL children need.
